Questions about this item

Will the ABS adapter plates need replacing after a few years?

The ABS adapter plates are moulded to fit the factory opening and do not wear out under normal use; they remain in place for the life of the speaker installation.

What stops me fitting a speaker larger than 6.5 inches?

The adapter plates are cut for 5.25 to 6.5 inch speakers, so any driver outside that range will not mount securely.

Does the wire harness add resistance that could heat up on long drives?

The harness plugs directly into the OEM connector and uses the factory wiring gauge, so it adds no measurable resistance or heat during continuous operation.
