Vehicle Integration

The Metra 95-8909 dash kit provides a double-DIN radio opening for select Subaru Legacy and Outback models from 2018 onward. It replaces the factory panel to accept an aftermarket head unit. The kit is painted black with silver trim to match the interior. Buyers who need a single-DIN opening cannot use this kit.

Build Fitment

The accessory mounts directly into the dashboard cavity without fabricating custom brackets. It secures the new radio using the included hardware and restores the factory trim appearance. Installers who require additional wiring harnesses or antenna adapters must source those components separately.

Sustained Operation

Once installed, the kit holds the head unit firmly through vibration and temperature cycles experienced in daily driving. The painted finish resists fading under prolonged cabin heat exposure. No moving parts or electronic elements are present to degrade over time.

The kit is a passive plastic frame with no electronics, fans or power draw so it adds zero noise or heat.

What factory wiring connector must the car already have for this kit to fit?
