Pre-Installation Checks

Verify that your vehicle falls within the 2008 to 2012 model year range for the Ford Escape or Mercury Mariner. Confirm the factory radio opening matches the double-DIN dimensions this kit supports. Ensure you have the correct wiring harness and antenna adapter for your specific vehicle trim level.

Build Integration

The kit weighs 1.50 units and includes the necessary mounting hardware for a secure fit. It bridges the gap between the aftermarket receiver chassis and the original dashboard structure. No additional fabrication is required when used with compatible double-DIN head units.

Questions about this item

Does the 995814HG installation kit include the head unit itself, or must I buy a separate receiver?

The 995814HG is an installation kit only; it provides the dash panel and brackets to mount a separate aftermarket receiver, which must be purchased separately.

How do I know the 995814HG is the correct kit for my vehicle rather than another Metra model?

The 995814HG is specified for 2008 through 2012 Ford Escape and Mercury Mariner; match those model years exactly to confirm fitment.

Once installed, what does the 1.50 weight figure tell me about the load on my dashboard?

At 1.50 units, the kit adds minimal mass to the dash opening, so the factory structure supports it without reinforcement.
