Portable 7" Wireless CarPlay Screen
The Metra FX-WCS-803 is a portable 7-inch touchscreen that adds wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto to any vehicle. It targets drivers who want smartphone integration without replacing the factory stereo. The unit mounts with a 360-degree rotatable suction cup or adhesive bracket and operates on 12V to 24V DC power. It supports Mirror Link and voice control through Siri or Google Assistant.
Sustained Operation and Connectivity
The system runs wireless CarPlay and Android Auto continuously while drawing power from the vehicle outlet. Bluetooth 5.2 maintains the link to the phone for calls and streaming during long trips. A rear-view camera input stays active while reversing, and the touchscreen remains responsive for navigation and media control. Playback supports AVI, MKV, MOV, VOB and MPEG files from connected storage.
Mounting Flexibility and Audio Options
The 360-degree suction mount and adhesive bracket let you position the screen on the dashboard or console for daily visibility. Four audio output modes cover every cabin: Bluetooth to the car speakers, AUX cable to the factory radio, FM transmitter to an unused frequency, or the built-in speaker. USB and 3.5 mm jack connectors handle power and wired audio. The package includes a backup camera for parking assistance.

Questions about this item
How does the Bluetooth 5.2 connection handle audio when the unit runs continuously?
The Bluetooth 5.2 link pairs with your phone for Apple CarPlay or Android Auto and can also route sound through the vehicle's factory speakers for clearer output during long drives.
Which factory audio input must my vehicle already have to use the AUX output mode?
Your car stereo needs a 3.5 mm auxiliary input so you can connect the supplied cable and hear the unit's audio through the original sound system.
Will the FM transmitter on this FX-WCS-803 work with an older vehicle that only has an analogue FM radio?
Yes, the built-in FM transmitter broadcasts the unit's audio on an FM frequency that any analogue car radio can receive.
