Direct IKEA Replacement

These 10 mm stem casters are made specifically for IKEA office chairs such as Markus, Jarvfjallet and Renberget. The 22 mm stem length and 50 mm wheel diameter match the original fittings so no adapters are required. Buyers with standard 11 mm stems cannot use this set.

Sustained Load Behaviour

Each wheel supports 55 lbs, giving the five-piece set a combined rating of 275 lbs. The polyurethane tread maintains its shape under continuous seating weight and does not develop flat spots during long work sessions. The gold or silver metal finish is purely cosmetic and does not change load performance.

Floor Interface Limits

The PU material rolls on hardwood, laminate, tile, slate, vinyl and low-pile carpet without leaving marks, removing the need for a separate chair mat. On deep-pile carpet the smaller 50 mm diameter increases rolling resistance compared with larger wheels. The stem mount fits only the 10 mm socket found on compatible IKEA models.

Questions about this item

How much heat or noise do the 2-inch polyurethane wheels generate during all-day rolling?

The PU wheels run silently and produce no measurable heat; they glide on hardwood, carpet, laminate, slate, vinyl or tile without a floor mat.

What must the chair already have for these 10 mm stem casters to fit?

Your IKEA chair needs a 10 mm stem socket with a 22 mm stem depth; the set does not fit standard 11 mm stems.

Will the 55 lb per wheel rating support an older IKEA Markus or Jarvfjallet base?

Yes, the five-wheel set carries 275 lb total and is listed as a direct replacement for Markus, Jarvfjallet, Renberget, Flintan, Fjallberget and Hattefjall models.
