Dual RJ12 filter separates voice and DSL signals to eliminate line noise
The Micro Connectors C20-132 splits a single telephone line into one port for voice calls and one for a digital data signal, allowing both to operate at the same time. It is designed for households or small offices that run DSL internet alongside a standard telephone handset. The RJ12 plug connects to the wall jack and the two RJ12 jacks are clearly marked for proper connection.
The filter removes unwanted noise and connection problems that DSL service introduces on telephone equipment during sustained operation. By reducing digital interference on the voice circuit, it keeps call quality stable even when the data link is heavily loaded. This prevents the static or drop-outs that can appear on a phone line sharing an active DSL circuit.
It upgrades a setup that has no filter or relies on an older single-port adapter that cannot separate voice and modem signals cleanly. The jump is worth it when a telephone and a DSL modem share one wall outlet and the user experiences audible interference or unreliable sync. It does not address installations that require more than two simultaneous connections.
