7-metre OM3 duplex fibre cable

This 7-metre aqua duplex cable uses 50/125 OM3 multi-mode fibre with LC and SC connectors. It is built for 10 Gigabit links up to 300 metres and 40 or 100 Gigabit links up to 100 metres. The OFNR riser-rated PVC jacket suits vertical runs between floors.

Suits high-density patch panels

Installers who need a compact LC end for dense switches and a push-pull SC end for quick changes will find this combination convenient. It is not suited for single-mode infrastructure, outdoor plant runs, or plenum-rated environments.

50/125 OM3 multi-mode fibre with 2000 MHz·km EMB

The effective modal bandwidth of 2000 MHz·km at 850 nm determines reach at 10, 40 and 100 Gigabit speeds. Match this specification to your transceiver requirements before purchase.

Questions about this item

Will the 2.0 mm aqua PVC jacket fit through standard cable trays and riser pathways?

The 2.0 mm outer diameter is narrow enough for typical tray and conduit routing, and the OFNR rating means it is approved for vertical riser shafts between floors.

How do I correctly seat the LC and SC connectors so the link comes up at 10 Gb?

Push the LC ferrule straight in until the latch clicks, and push the SC squarely until it locks; both must be fully mated or the 10 Gb signal will not establish.

When should I plan to replace this OM3 duplex patch cord?

Replace it if the aqua jacket shows cracks, the ferrules are scratched, or insertion loss rises above the loss budget for your 10 Gb, 40 Gb or 100 Gb links.
