  • Delivers approximately 7,500 pages per cartridge
  • New aftermarket cartridge ready for immediate use

MICR toner for Lexmark MS and MX printers

This new aftermarket cartridge supplies magnetic image character-recognition ink required for printing secure checks. It is compatible with Lexmark MS821, MS822, MS725, MS823, MS824, MS825, MS826, MX721, MX722, MX725, MX822, MX824 and MX826 models. The cartridge yields approximately 7,500 pages and must be paired with the MICRIMA821 imaging unit for operation.

Stable output with standard power use

The toner formulation is engineered for consistent magnetic signal strength across the rated page count. Normal printing draws the same power as a standard cartridge and produces no additional noise. Heat output remains within the printer’s standard operating range during check-run workloads.

Drop-in cartridge design

The cartridge uses the standard Lexmark form factor for the listed MS and MX series, so it installs without tools or adapters. Daily use requires keeping a MICRIMA821 imaging unit installed; the printer will not run MICR jobs without it. Buyers who need standard non-MICR printing or a different page yield should select an alternative cartridge.

Questions about this item

How do I install the 58D1000 cartridge and what step is often missed?

Insert the cartridge into a compatible Lexmark printer such as the MS821 or MX826, then install the required MICRIMA821 imaging unit separately; skipping the imaging unit is the common error.

What replacement will this cartridge need after its 7,500-page yield?

The toner cartridge itself must be replaced once the 7,500-page yield is reached; the MICRIMA821 imaging unit is a separate consumable with its own life cycle.

What limit appears first during continuous printing with this cartridge?

The 7,500-page yield is the first limit reached under sustained use, after which the cartridge must be replaced to continue MICR check printing.
