Digital campaign add-on for Xbox One

The Master Chief Collection Halo 3 ODST add-on is a downloadable campaign expansion published by Microsoft. It adds the ODST storyline to the Master Chief Collection on Xbox One. The content is rated M for Mature by the ESRB. It is intended for players who already own the base collection and want the additional campaign.

Requires Halo The Master Chief Collection

This DLC cannot be played as a standalone title; the full Master Chief Collection must be installed on the same Xbox One account. The digital code unlocks the ODST campaign missions only. Without the base game present the code will not provide any playable content.

Redeem code on Xbox console or web

Installation is handled by entering the supplied digital code in the Xbox Store on the console or via a browser. The download begins automatically once the code is accepted. A common issue occurs when the base Master Chief Collection is not installed first, causing the add-on to remain inaccessible until the main game is present.

Questions about this item

What does 1080p/60fps mean when I play the ODST campaign on my Xbox One?

The campaign runs at a 1080 pixel resolution and 60 frames per second for smoother motion and sharper detail than the original release.

How does the Xbox One DRM affect installing and launching this add-on?

The digital code ties the licence to your Xbox Live account; you must own Halo: The Master Chief Collection on the same account to download and play the ODST campaign.

What do I need on my console before the ODST add-on will appear ready to install?

You need Halo: The Master Chief Collection already installed on the Xbox One; the add-on then downloads as additional content inside that game.
