Premium Upgrade for Age of Mythology: Retold

This downloadable content upgrades the Standard Edition of Age of Mythology: Retold to the Premium Edition on Xbox Series X|S and Windows. It is intended for players who already own the base game or access it through an Xbox Game Pass subscription and want the additional premium content.

Digital delivery with no physical media

The upgrade is delivered as a digital code redeemable on Xbox Series X|S or Windows 10. There is no disc, cartridge or physical packaging to store or install. The content is tied to your Microsoft account and requires an internet connection for the initial redemption and download.

Requires the base game sold separately

This DLC cannot be played on its own; it requires Age of Mythology: Retold, which is sold separately or available via Game Pass Ultimate, PC or Console subscriptions. Without the base game installed, the upgrade provides no playable content.

Questions about this item

How do I install the Premium Edition Upgrade DLC for Age of Mythology: Retold on Windows 10?

Redeem the digital code on your Microsoft account, ensure you own the base game (sold separately or via Game Pass), then the Premium Upgrade content will appear ready to download in your library.

Will the Freyr New Gods Pack or Chinese pantheon Expansion 1 require separate updates later?

They are delivered as part of the Premium Upgrade DLC; future game patches will include any balance changes or fixes for the new pantheon content automatically.

What happens to my 7-day Advanced Access if I redeem the code after 27 August 2024?

The 7-day Advanced Access benefit is only available when the Premium Upgrade is purchased by 27 August 2024; redeeming after that date grants the remaining content but not the early access period.
