Platinum 13.8" Copilot+ laptop

The Microsoft Surface Laptop 8 EP2-47665 is a 13.8-inch touchscreen notebook built around an Intel Core Ultra 5 335 processor running at 2.2 GHz with a 4.6 GHz turbo frequency. It ships with Windows 11 Pro and is marketed as a Copilot+ PC for users who want on-device AI capabilities in a compact form factor.

16GB DDR5 and 512GB SSD in a 3 lbs chassis

The system integrates 16GB of DDR5 memory and a 512GB solid-state drive, leaving no internal slots for memory or storage expansion. A 4755 mAh 6-cell lithium-ion battery powers the device, while Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 5.4 handle wireless connectivity without the need for external dongles.

120 Hz PixelSense display with Intel Graphics

The 2304 x 1536 PixelSense panel runs at 120 Hz and supports touch input, driven by Intel integrated graphics suitable for productivity and media playback. Buyers who need discrete GPU performance for rendering or gaming, or who require more than 512GB of internal storage, should look elsewhere.

Questions about this item

Will the Intel Core Ultra 5 335 at 4.6 GHz turbo throttle under long workloads?

The 13.8 inch chassis with 0.7 inch thickness limits sustained turbo; the 4755 mAh 6-cell battery and Intel Graphics share the same thermal envelope, so clocks drop after several minutes of full load.

How loud and hot does the fan get during an all-day Copilot+ session?

The thin 0.7 inch profile forces a small fan that spins up audibly when the Core Ultra 5 335 and Intel Graphics run continuously; surface temperatures near the hinge reach warm levels after a few hours.

Which peripherals must I already own because the laptop only has USB-C and Surface Connect?

You need a USB-C hub or dock for USB-A devices, external monitors, Ethernet and SD cards; the single Surface Connect port handles charging and the proprietary dock only.
