Business-ready AI laptop

The Microsoft Surface Laptop 8 EP2-47965 is a 13.8-inch Copilot+ PC built for professionals who need on-device intelligence. Its Core Ultra 7 366H processor integrates an NPU rated up to 50 TOPS for local AI workloads. The 3:2 touchscreen resolves 2304 x 1536 at 120 Hz with 600 nits peak brightness and an anti-reflective coating. Enterprise features include TPM 2.0 and BitLocker support in an anodized aluminum chassis.

Thermals and daily power

A 39 W Surface Connect adapter charges the 54 WHr battery while the Intel Graphics and LPDDR5X memory run typical office tasks. The fanless-aluminium design keeps surface temperatures comfortable during email, browsing and video calls. Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth handle wireless traffic without adding noticeable heat. The 3.5 mm jack and stereo speakers operate without audible coil whine in quiet rooms.

Sustained workload behaviour

Under continuous multi-core load the NPU and CPU share the thermal budget, so clock speeds settle below peak boost after several minutes. The 256 GB SSD maintains steady write throughput without thermal throttling in our test window. Surface Connect power delivery remains stable at 39 W, so the battery does not drain while plugged in during long renders or model inference.

Questions about this item

How do I connect the 39 W power supply to the Surface Connect port without bending the connector?

Align the magnetic Surface Connect plug straight onto the port; the magnets pull it into place without force, so you never push it in at an angle.

Will the 32 GB LPDDR5X memory ever need upgrading or replacement?

The memory is soldered to the mainboard and cannot be upgraded or replaced by the user.

At what point does the 54 WHr battery limit runtime during a full-day workload?

The 54 WHr capacity typically reaches its limit after a full business day of mixed use, requiring the 39 W charger to continue working.
