Versatile Rack Panel

The Middle Atlantic VPM-4 is a vertical four-panel mount designed for server installations where a full protective enclosure is not required. It suits technicians and integrators building open-frame rack configurations for networking, audio-visual or light industrial equipment.

Passive Thermal Management

As a passive rack panel with no integrated fans or power supply, the unit adds zero operational noise and draws no electricity. Its open structure allows unrestricted airflow around mounted devices, relying entirely on the equipment's own cooling or ambient room ventilation.

Flexible Mounting Options

The accessory supports both horizontal placement under a desk or table and vertical attachment to a wall, accommodating equipment of any depth. Black finish provides a neutral appearance, while the open frame leaves cable routing and peripheral access completely unobstructed.

Questions about this item

How is the VPM-4 installed vertically as a wall mount?

Mount the rack directly to wall studs using appropriate lag bolts through the integrated mounting holes; the step often missed is confirming the wall can support the combined weight of the rack plus the deepest equipment you plan to install.

What maintenance or replacement will the VPM-4 need over time?

The powder-coated steel frame requires no scheduled maintenance; only the mounting hardware may need re-torquing if vibration loosens the bolts, and the unit itself has no consumable parts to replace.

What is the first limit reached when the VPM-4 is loaded with maximum-depth equipment?

The wall structure or mounting hardware reaches its load limit before the rack does, so the practical ceiling is the shear and pull-out strength of the fasteners into your specific wall material.
