Birch Wood Fluted Dowel Pins 100PK

This pack supplies one hundred birch wood dowel pins with fluted sides for glue distribution. They serve as alignment aids in furniture joints, game components, hanging supports and other woodworking assemblies. The flutes allow excess adhesive to escape while maintaining a tight fit in pre-drilled holes.

Sustained joint integrity

Under continuous load the birch material resists compression and holds alignment without the creep seen in softer woods. Fluted channels keep glue bonded along the full length of each pin, preventing voids that weaken the joint over time. The natural grain structure distributes stress evenly across the pin surface.

California Proposition 65 notice

This product carries a Proposition 65 warning for chemicals known to the State of California to cause cancer and reproductive harm. Verify that your project specifications accept this classification before ordering. Confirm the hole diameter matches the pin size you require for precise alignment.

Questions about this item

Does the birch wood generate noticeable dust or heat when used continuously in a workshop?

Birch dowel pins are passive wooden components; they produce no heat or noise and only create dust if you cut or sand them yourself.

What tools or materials do I need before these dowel pins can be used in a joint?

You need matching drill bits for the pin diameter, wood glue, clamps, and the two workpieces with accurately bored holes.

Will these pins fit properly alongside older imperial-sized dowels I already have?

They are manufactured to the stated 1/2" x 1-1/2" imperial dimensions, so they align with existing hardware of the same nominal size.
