Application

MIDWEST FASTENER CORP 3722 Hex Nuts secure machine screws and bolts with Grade 8 steel strength. The zinc yellow finish protects against corrosion in demanding environments. Each pack contains 10 pieces for multiple fastening tasks.

Suitability

Mechanics and fabricators needing high-strength Grade 8 hardware for structural joints will find these nuts appropriate. Buyers requiring stainless steel for marine exposure or metric threads for imported equipment should select different products.

Installation

Standard wrenches or sockets tighten these hex nuts onto 3/4"-10 threads without special tools. Cross-threading damages the threads if the nut is forced onto a misaligned bolt. Verify thread pitch compatibility before assembly to avoid binding.

Questions about this item

What size bolt or machine screw do these 3/4"-10 hex nuts fit?

They fit a 3/4"-10 threaded bolt or machine screw, matching the nut's internal thread pitch exactly.

Can I mix these Grade 8 zinc-yellow nuts with older Grade 5 fasteners on the same assembly?

Yes, the threads are compatible, but the Grade 8 nuts are stronger; the joint will only be as strong as the lowest-grade component used.

How do I confirm the nuts are properly tightened after installation?

Turn each nut until it seats firmly against the joint, then apply the specified torque for a 3/4"-10 Grade 8 fastener using a calibrated torque wrench.
