5/8" Grade 5 Steel Hitch Pins

These hitch pins connect trailers to vehicles in automotive, agriculture and lawn-care settings. The Grade 5 steel construction provides the strength needed for towing loads. They are sold new and ready for immediate use.

5/8" diameter by 5-3/4" length

This specific size determines whether the pin fits the hitch receiver and the implement tongue. Verify the receiver hole diameter and the required pin length before ordering to ensure a secure connection.

Suits owners needing a 5/8" Grade 5 replacement

Buyers who require a different diameter, a longer or shorter pin, or a higher grade rating should look at other options. These pins address the single size and grade combination listed.

Questions about this item

What does the 5/8" diameter mean when the pin is through a hitch receiver?

The 5/8" diameter matches standard Class III and IV receiver holes so the pin passes cleanly through both walls without binding.

How does the Grade 5 rating affect shear strength in a towing setup?

Grade 5 steel provides the tensile strength needed for typical trailer loads while the red head allows quick visual confirmation that the pin is seated.

What clearance is needed around the red head for the clip to engage?

The oversized head sits flush against the receiver face leaving enough exposed shank for a standard hairpin clip to lock securely.
