Shaft Collar Pair

The MIDWEST FASTENER 933507 kit supplies two 1/2 inch black oxide steel double split shaft collars. They suit maintenance crews and hobbyists who need to locate components on round shafts without marring the surface.

Holding Capacity

Each collar clamps around a half inch shaft using two opposing screws for even grip. The steel construction resists axial loads in light duty power transmission setups, but the design is not rated for high vibration or heavy shock environments.

Clamping Interface

The double split mechanism relies on socket head cap screws to close the bore uniformly. Black oxide finish adds mild corrosion resistance, yet the collars lack a keyway or set screw flat, so they cannot transmit torque positively on their own.

Questions about this item

Will the 1/2" bore fit the shaft on my existing equipment?

The collar has a 1/2" bore, so it fits shafts of that diameter.

How can I confirm the black oxide finish is properly applied?

The black oxide coating gives a uniform dark surface; inspect both halves for even coverage.

Does the 2-pack include mounting screws or only the two collar halves?

The package contains the two split collar halves; fasteners are sold separately.
