Premium XL Shammy Towel

The Mighty Cleaner shammy towel measures 34 by 25 inches and absorbs up to 10 times its weight in water. Its PVA fabric is scratch-free on paint, glass and other sensitive surfaces. The extra-large size dries an average car or larger vehicles such as trucks and boats in a single pass. Weighing 0.322 kilograms, it stores damp in its plastic tube for reuse.

Upgrade from smaller cloths

Replacing standard chamois or microfibre cloths with this XL towel cuts drying time on big panels. The jump is worth it when you regularly dry SUVs, trucks or boats and want one cloth to finish the job. Since 2005 the design has focused on spot-free results without streaks. Wring it out when saturated and continue drying without swapping towels.

Check your wash routine

Ensure you can rinse the towel after each use to remove grit that could scratch later. The reinforcing layer makes it durable for years, but it must be stored slightly damp to stay supple. Verify you have space for the 34-inch length when folded or rolled. No special chemicals are required, only clean water for washing.

Questions about this item

How much space does the 34 by 25 inch shammy need to lay flat on a vehicle?

The towel measures 34 inches long by 25 inches wide and is half an inch thick, so it covers a large panel in one pass and stores easily in its tube.

What is the correct way to wring out the PVA chamois without damaging the inner reinforcing layer?

After the towel becomes saturated, twist it firmly by hand to expel water; the reinforced core is built to withstand repeated wringing for years of reuse.

How should the synthetic chamois be cleaned and stored to keep it scratch-free for future use?

Wash the towel to remove dirt, then store it slightly damp inside the supplied plastic tube to prevent the PVA material from drying stiff.
