  • RouterOS Level 4 licence enables advanced networking features

Dual-concurrent Access Point

The Mikrotik RB952Ui-5ac2nD-TC delivers simultaneous 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz wireless coverage for homes or small offices. A 650 MHz CPU and 64 MB RAM run RouterOS L4, providing routing, firewall and management features. Five 10/100 Mbps Ethernet ports handle wired clients, while a USB port accepts 3G or 4G modems for backup connectivity.

Build integration

The universal case sits horizontally on a desk or vertically in a tower orientation, and a wall-anchored mounting kit is included for fixed installations. Port five supplies PoE output to power a downstream device such as a camera or another access point without a separate injector. The single USB port adds WAN failover capability when a compatible mobile modem is attached.

Sustained operation

Dual-chain 2.4 GHz and single-chain 5 GHz radios maintain concurrent throughput for multiple clients during extended sessions. Passive cooling in the enclosed chassis keeps the 650 MHz processor stable under continuous routing and wireless load. RouterOS L4 licensing ensures all management features remain available without recurring fees.

Questions about this item

Will the 10/100 Ethernet ports bottleneck sustained throughput on the 5 GHz 802.11ac radio?

Yes, the five 10/100 Mbps ports cap wired backhaul at 100 Mbps while the single-chain 5 GHz radio can exceed that rate, so sustained transfers will hit the port limit first.

How much heat and noise does the fanless 650 MHz CPU produce during all-day operation?

The unit has no fan and draws little power; it runs silently and stays warm to the touch but not hot under continuous load.

Which RouterOS licence level is required to manage this access point?

It ships with a RouterOS Level 4 licence, which is sufficient for all AP features on this hardware.
