Compact weatherproof AP with CAT6 LTE

The MikroTik wAP ac LTE6 kit is a dual-band wireless access point built into a weatherproof enclosure. It adds a CAT6 LTE modem capable of 300 Mbps download speeds for primary or backup connectivity. The unit suits homes or remote sites needing reliable internet without fixed-line infrastructure.

Check mounting location and SIM requirements

Verify you have a suitable wall, ceiling or pole position within reach of power and Ethernet cabling. Confirm the target mobile networks support CAT6 carrier aggregation on the bands used in your region. A compatible nano-SIM with an active data plan is required for LTE operation.

Integrates as router or AP with dual Gigabit ports

Two Gigabit Ethernet ports allow wired uplinks, LAN distribution or failover between LTE and fixed broadband. The operating range of -30 °C to +60 °C lets it stay outdoors year-round. PoE input simplifies cabling by carrying power and data over a single Ethernet run.

Questions about this item

What comes inside the wAP ac LTE6 kit and what must be purchased separately?

The kit includes the dual-band access point with a built-in CAT6 LTE modem, two Gigabit Ethernet ports, and mounting hardware for walls, ceilings or poles. A SIM card and a data plan from a mobile operator are required for LTE connectivity.

Which variant of the kit should I choose for carrier aggregation support?

The single model listed already features a CAT6 LTE modem that supports carrier aggregation across multiple bands, delivering up to 300 Mbps download speeds in crowded areas or with weaker signals.

What does the 300 Mbps LTE figure mean for real-world throughput on this device?

The 300 Mbps rating is the modem's peak download capability under ideal conditions; actual speeds will vary with signal strength, network congestion and the data plan, while the two Gigabit Ethernet ports ensure wired clients are not bottlenecked by the LTE link.
