Smith MC12-0 Cutting Tip for Acetylene

The Smith MC12-0 is a one-piece acetylene cutting tip designed for hand-held torch use. It is intended for metal fabricators and maintenance welders who need a reliable tip for medium-preheat cutting tasks on plate from one-quarter to three-eighths inch thick.

Fits MC12 series torches and listed attachments

This tip fits the MC12 series and works with compatible cutting attachments AC309, CC509P, DG109A, MC505 and MC509. It requires an acetylene supply regulated to ten psig and an oxygen supply regulated to thirty-five to forty psig, freeing the operator from adjusting multiple tip sizes for the stated thickness range.

Handles one-quarter to three-eighths inch plate

At the rated pressures the tip delivers a preheat flow of six standard cubic feet per hour of acetylene and seven of oxygen, with a cutting oxygen flow of forty to forty-six standard cubic feet per hour. It does not support cutting thicknesses below one-quarter inch or above three-eighths inch, nor does it operate with fuel gases other than acetylene.
