3-Inch Bronze Gate Valve
This Milwaukee Valve 149 gate valve is built for controlling flow in gas, oil and water lines. The solid bronze wedge and bronze seat provide a tight shut-off in residential and light-commercial plumbing systems. It is intended for installers who need a traditional rising-stem valve with sweat connections.
Bronze Construction and Sweat Ends
The body, bonnet, stem, wedge, seat and seal are all bronze for corrosion resistance across the listed media. A screw-in bonnet allows the stem packing to be serviced without removing the valve from the line. Sweat ends on a 3-inch line demand clean copper tube, flux and proper torch technique for a leak-free joint.
200 psi Cold Working Pressure
The valve is rated for 200 psi maximum operating pressure and 125 psi saturated steam. With a Cv of 536 it passes high volume with minimal pressure drop. Buyers who need a higher pressure class, flanged ends or a non-rising stem for buried service cannot use this model.
