It uses sweat-to-sweat solder connections and a rising-stem design operated by a hand wheel. This valve suits installers who need a bronze body rated for 300 psi fluid pressure and 200 degrees F maximum fluid temperature. It is not for steam service or compressed air lines because those pressures are not rated.

Sweat Connection and Pressure Limits

The valve joins copper pipe through soldered sweat ends and carries a 300 psi fluid pressure rating at 200 degrees F. Steam pressure and air pressure are not rated, so the valve must not be used in those services. The rising stem moves vertically when the hand wheel turns, giving visible indication of the open or closed position. The screw-in bonnet and bronze stem complete the pressure boundary.
