Purpose and audience

The Minimoon HK-8 is a 12-pack of electric mosquito zappers rated at 15 W with a 4200 V grid. Each unit uses a UVA lamp to attract flying insects and an internal electric grid to eliminate them. The black housing measures 5.71 in by 5.71 in by 10.43 in and carries a western-style side pattern. The pack suits homeowners, patio users, garage keepers and small farm operators who want multiple units for broader coverage.

Installation and coverage

Every zapper ships with a 5.9 ft power cord, a hanging hook and carrying handles for flexible placement indoors or outdoors. The waterproof casing allows use on patios, porches, backyards, garages, farms and orchards without a dedicated enclosure. A standard mains outlet is the only infrastructure required; no wiring, mounting hardware or additional controllers are needed. The arrow-shaped mesh and volcano-shaped cleaning port simplify debris removal so the grids stay effective over time.

Thermals noise and power

Each unit draws 15 W during operation, a load comparable to a small household lamp. The UVA lamp and high-voltage grid run silently with no moving parts, producing no audible fan or mechanical noise. The sealed waterproof housing protects the electronics from moisture while the small mesh gaps prevent accidental contact by children or pets. Heat output remains low enough for continuous all-day use in covered outdoor areas.

Questions about this item

How long can the 15W UVA light run before the grid needs cleaning?

The volcano-shaped cleaning port and arrow-style mesh let you clear mosquito residue in seconds, so the 15W light and 4200V grid keep working without a long shutdown.

Does the 4200V grid make a loud crackle or throw heat after hours of use?

The sealed casing and small mesh gaps contain the discharge, so the unit stays quiet and only warm to the touch even during all-day operation.

What power source must I already have for the 12-pack to work?

Each zapper needs a standard mains outlet; the 5.9 ft cord plugs straight in with no extra transformer or battery required.
