Magnetic car mount delivers up to 15W wireless charging for iPhone 12 through 16 series and Qi phones with MagSafe cases using N52 magnets and a 360° ball joint
The Minthouz MT-CW104 mounts to an air vent and holds a phone with a double layer of N52 magnets while delivering up to 15W of wireless power. It accepts Qi-certified handsets, including the iPhone 12 through 16 series, when they are fitted with a MagSafe case or a case containing a metal ring no thicker than 5mm. A 360° ball joint lets the driver set any viewing angle for navigation or calls. An integrated intelligent chip guards against overheating, short circuits, over-current, over-voltage and foreign-object detection.
This unit suits motorists who keep their phone in a MagSafe-compatible case and need a secure grip on bumpy roads. The two-hook vent clamp fits vertical and horizontal blades but will not work on round blades, so owners of circular vents should look elsewhere. Phones without a magnetic case or metal ring cannot be held securely, and devices that do not support the Qi EPP 15W protocol will charge at lower speeds. Buyers who need a dashboard or windscreen mount rather than a vent attachment must choose a different design.
When paired with an 18W or higher PD or QC power adapter supplying 9V/2A, the charger can reach its 15W maximum for compatible handsets. iPhones in the supported range are limited to 7.5W by the handset itself, so they will not use the full headroom. The USB-A to USB-C cable included is one metre long. If the power source delivers less than 18W or lacks PD/QC support, output drops accordingly, and charging stops if a metal object is placed between the coils.
