  • Product typeUSB Cables
  • Transfers large files in seconds with 20Gbps data speed
  • Charges laptops at full 240W via PD 3.1 E-Mark chip
  • Extends display to 4K@60Hz for work or gaming
  • Works with existing USB 3.1 and 2.0 devices
  • Built-in E-Marker protects battery during high-power charging

Cable purpose and audience

This USB-C cable delivers 20 Gbps data transfer, 4K 60 Hz video output and up to 240 W Power Delivery 3.1 charging. It suits users who need a single cord for high-speed file moves, external displays and fast charging of compatible laptops, tablets or phones.

Compatibility checks before ordering

Confirm both host and peripheral support USB 3.2 Gen 2×2 to reach the 20 Gbps rate; otherwise the link falls back to slower USB 3.1, 3.0 or 2.0 speeds. Video output requires the source and display to provide USB-C or Thunderbolt 3/4 ports with DisplayPort Alternate Mode. The charger must supply the desired voltage up to 50 V at 5 A for maximum power.

Thermals noise and power draw

The integrated E-Marker chip manages power negotiation up to 240 W and protects connected devices during charging. The cable operates silently and adds no active cooling requirement. In normal use it carries the negotiated current without measurable self-heating beyond what the attached devices and power supply already produce.

Questions about this item

Does the 2 m cable come with any adapters or do I need to buy a USB-C power brick separately?

The package contains only the USB-C to USB-C cable; a compatible PD 3.1 charger must be purchased separately to reach 240 W.

Should I choose this 20 Gbps cable or a slower version for my MacBook and 4K monitor?

Pick this cable when both host and display support USB 3.2 Gen 2×2 and 4K at 60 Hz; otherwise a 10 Gbps cable is sufficient.

Will I actually see 20 Gbps transfer speeds when I plug this cable into my laptop and external SSD?

You will see 20 Gbps only if both ports are USB 3.2 Gen 2×2; with USB 3.1, 3.0 or 2.0 ports the speed falls back to the lower standard.
