Upgrade From Finer Grits

Switching to this P36 disc replaces finer abrasives when material removal speed matters more than surface finish. The jump is worth it on heavy weld beads, thick rust layers or rough flame-cut edges that would clog higher grits. It cuts aggressively to level surfaces before a finishing step. Do not use where a smooth final profile is required without follow-up sanding.

Coarse Grit Headroom

The P36 grit comfortably handles heavy grinding on carbon steel, stainless welds and cast iron. It runs out on hardened tool steel or when a near-polished surface is needed straight from the wheel.
