What the discs are and who they suit

Mirka Bulldog Gold abrasive discs are 5-inch hook-and-loop sheets with no centre hole. The pack contains 50 discs at 120 grit for surface finishing and moderate stock removal. They suit body-shop technicians and woodworkers who need a consistent cut on paint, primer or clear coat.

How they fit into a workflow

The hook-and-loop backing allows quick disc changes on compatible backing pads without tools. Gold premium aluminum oxide grain resists loading and maintains cutting speed across the job. No-hole design means full-face abrasive contact on flat or curved panels.

Who should buy and who should not

Buyers needing a 120-grit finishing step in a 50-count box will find the quantity and grade matched. Shops requiring different grits, perforated discs for dust extraction or larger diameters should look at other configurations.

Questions about this item

How quickly will the 120 grit discs wear down during continuous sanding?

Gold premium aluminum oxide paper is designed for finishing and heavy stock removal, so the 120 grit maintains cutting performance longer than standard abrasives during extended use.

Do the 50 discs generate excessive heat when used all day on a pneumatic sander?

The hook-and-loop backing allows quick disc changes, reducing downtime and keeping the work surface cooler during prolonged finishing sessions.

What backing pad is required for these no-hole 5-inch discs to attach securely?

A 5-inch hook-and-loop backing pad with a smooth, no-hole surface is needed so the discs grip properly on pneumatic or electric sanders.
