The Mitsubishi Electric Kumo Touch MHK2 is a fully programmable wireless thermostat kit designed for residential and light-commercial HVAC control. It uses RedLINK 3.0 wireless technology to communicate between the touch-panel thermostat and the receiver. The kit suits owners of compatible Mitsubishi Electric indoor units who want cloud scheduling and local touch control in one package.

Compatibility check before ordering

Verify that your indoor unit belongs to the CITY MULTI, P-Series or M-Series families, as the kit works with all units in those ranges. Confirm the wireless interface on the unit provides a second CN105 connector if you plan to run the Kumo cloud and MHK2 together. Note that RedLINK 3.0 is not compatible with MHK1, MOS1 or MCCH1 devices using RedLINK 2.0.

Installation and system fit

The thermostat mounts on a wall and pairs wirelessly with the included receiver, eliminating the need for control wiring between the two. It provides on/off, mode selection, dual set-points, fan speed and airflow direction from the touch screen. The display shows ambient temperature, relative humidity and records up to 28 error codes for diagnostics. Cloud scheduling is handled through the kumo cloud service when the second CN105 connection is used.
