Questions about this item

How do I install the Taco 005-SF2 circulator with its flanged connections, and what step do people often get wrong?

Bolt the flanges to the matching pipe sizes using the correct gaskets, then wire the 115 V supply to the motor terminals; the step often missed is verifying the pump rotation direction before tightening the final bolts.

What maintenance will the Taco 005-SF2 circulator need later, and when should I plan for it?

The 1/35 hp motor uses sealed bearings that require no lubrication; plan to inspect the flange gaskets and check for leakage or unusual noise once a year, replacing gaskets if they weep.
