What this lamp replaces

The Mitsubishi GS-326 is a 185W UHP projector lamp module supplied as a complete bulb-and-housing assembly. It fits projectors that specify the VLT-EX240LP part number and is sold new for owners who need a direct replacement.

Practical limits of the 185W UHP lamp

The lamp is rated for 4,000 hours of typical use before brightness drops to half its initial output. Actual life varies with power-mode settings, ambient temperature and how often the projector is power-cycled. The 185W rating determines the heat load your projector’s cooling system must handle.

Installation and common issues

The pre-assembled module slides into the projector’s lamp bay without tools; most users complete the swap in a few minutes. The main risks are forgetting to reset the hour counter in the projector menu and touching the glass envelope with bare fingers, which can create hot spots and shorten life.
