Ready-to-install lamp module

The Mitsubishi HC7800D replacement lamp ships as a complete 240W Osram P-VIP bulb inside its housing. No separate assembly is required, so the module drops straight into the projector. Alignment tabs and a single connector prevent incorrect orientation. Handling the bare glass with bare fingers can shorten life; use the supplied glove or a lint-free cloth.

Rated hours in two modes

In normal operation the lamp is rated for 2,000 hours. Switching to economy mode extends the rating to 5,000 hours while reducing brightness. The projector tracks usage automatically and will prompt replacement when the counter reaches the limit. Resetting the timer without installing a fresh module risks sudden shutdown or colour shift.

Brightness ceiling and limits

The 240W output is tuned for the HC7800D optical engine and delivers the manufacturer-specified lumen level. It cannot exceed that ceiling, so larger screens or high-ambient-light rooms may appear dimmer than expected. Economy mode trades peak brightness for longer intervals between replacements.

Questions about this item

How can I confirm the lamp is operating correctly after installation?

The projector should display a bright, stable image without flickering and the lamp-hour counter will begin counting from zero toward 2,000 hours in normal mode or 5,000 hours in economy mode.

What comes in the box and what must I purchase separately?

The module includes a new Osram P-VIP 240W bulb pre-assembled in its housing; no additional parts are required for installation.

Which version should I choose among the OEM and compatible options?

All versions meet ISO 9001 standards and use genuine Osram, Philips, Ushio, Phoenix, Iwasaki or Matsushita bulbs; select the OEM version matching your original manufacturer or the compatible version for a lower cost.
