3,000 to 5,000 hour service life

In normal mode the lamp is rated for 3,000 hours of operation. Switching to economy mode extends the rating to 5,000 hours. Heavy daily use in normal mode will reach the limit sooner than occasional economy-mode sessions.

This module restores full brightness when the original Mitsubishi lamp reaches end of life or suffers premature failure. It is not suited for users who need a higher-wattage upgrade or a different form factor for another projector model.

Questions about this item

Will the VLT-XD590LP 230W lamp work in my older Mitsubishi projector that currently uses a lower-wattage module?

The VLT-XD590LP is a 230W replacement module built to Mitsubishi specifications. It fits the projectors designed for this part number and draws the rated 230W during operation. Verify your projector's service manual lists VLT-XD590LP as the correct lamp code before installing.

How can I confirm the Osram P-VIP 230W bulb is igniting and running at the correct brightness after I install the VLT-XD590LP?

After installation, reset the projector's lamp-hour counter to zero. In normal mode the lamp is rated for 3,000 hours and in economy mode for 5,000 hours. Steady image brightness, no flicker, and the fan running at standard speed indicate proper ignition and voltage regulation.

Does the VLT-XD590LP come with the housing pre-assembled, or do I need to buy a separate cage and tools?

The module ships as a fully assembled bulb-and-housing unit ready for direct installation. No separate cage, tools, or additional components are required.
