Mitsubishi WD-60638 Replacement Lamp

This new aftermarket lamp and housing assembly is designed specifically for the Mitsubishi WD-60638 rear-projection television. It restores brightness and colour performance when the original lamp reaches the end of its service life. Buyers needing a different form factor or a bare bulb without the housing will not be served by this module.

Sustained Operation Characteristics

The genuine AL Series lamp maintains stable light output during extended viewing sessions typical of home theatre use. The included housing ensures proper alignment and heat management for consistent operation over the rated lifespan. Installers who require a bare bulb for a custom housing or a different connector layout cannot use this complete assembly.

Compatibility and Warranty Limits

This unit is confirmed compatible only with the Mitsubishi WD-60638 model and carries a 90 day warranty period. It is not suitable for other Mitsubishi rear-projection sets or DLP projectors with different part numbers. Customers seeking a longer coverage period or cross-model compatibility must look elsewhere.

Questions about this item

How hot does the WD-60638 replacement lamp run during all-day viewing?

The lamp operates at typical DLP projection temperatures; ensure the TV's internal fans and vents stay clear so heat can exhaust normally during extended use.

What must I already own for the WD-60638 lamp and housing to work?

You need a Mitsubishi WD-60638 rear-projection TV; the module is a direct replacement for that model's original lamp assembly.

Will the WD-60638 lamp module fit older Mitsubishi DLP sets I might still have?

No, this lamp and housing is built specifically for the WD-60638 and is not compatible with other Mitsubishi model numbers.
