Genuine Osram PVIP lamp and housing
This is an original Osram PVIP lamp supplied complete with its housing for the Mitsubishi WD-73C8 rear-projection TV. It arrives new and ready to install, matching the factory light source used in that model. The unit is intended for owners who need a direct replacement when the existing lamp reaches the end of its service life.
240-day warranty period for the lamp
The manufacturer backs the lamp with a 240-day warranty that covers the PVIP light source itself. Because lamp output declines gradually with use, the warranty provides a fixed window for early failures rather than a guarantee of constant brightness. Buyers who require a longer coverage term or a service contract beyond this period will need to arrange that separately.
Pre-assembled housing weighs under one kilogram
The lamp ships inside its housing so no separate alignment or cage fitting is required during installation. At 0.9990 kg the assembly is light enough to handle without tools beyond those normally used for the TV's lamp door. Installers who prefer bare-bulb replacements or who service models other than the WD-73C8 will find this unit unsuitable.
