Mitsubishi WD-73C9 DLP Replacement Lamp & Housing

Ready-to-install lamp module

The Mitsubishi WD-73C9 replacement lamp arrives as a complete lamp-and-housing assembly built to the AL Series specification. It fits the WD-73C9 rear-projection TV without extra tools or alignment steps. The unit weighs .9900 kg and ships new with a 90 day warranty. Home-theatre owners who want a straightforward swap will find the module matches the original form factor.

Practical limits of a user-replaceable DLP lamp

Light output declines gradually over the rated hours until the TV signals replacement. The housing is designed for a single installation cycle; reusing the old cage with a bare bulb risks misalignment and premature failure. Brightness and colour stability follow the AL Series envelope, so very large screens or high-ambient-light rooms may show the drop-off sooner. Buyers who need longer intervals between changes should note this module follows the standard service interval.

Upgrades the original equipment lamp

This assembly replaces the factory lamp that shipped with the WD-73C9 when its output has faded or the replacement indicator appears. The jump is worth it when the picture looks dim, colours shift or the set refuses to start because the hour counter has been reached. It restores the factory brightness curve rather than extending it. Viewers who want a brighter technology than DLP provides will need a different display platform.
