Ready-to-use business projector

The Mitsubishi XD280U DLP projector delivers 3000 lumens brightness and a 2000:1 contrast ratio for clear images in lit rooms. Native resolution is 1024 x 768 pixels on a 0.55-inch DMD chip. It includes a 10-watt mono speaker, VGA cable, power cord, soft carrying case and quick start guide. The 330-watt lamp lasts up to 6000 hours in eco mode.

Suited for fixed classroom installs

Teachers and trainers who need a lightweight unit at 7.3 lbs with simple menus and central control software will benefit. The 4:3 native aspect matches older courseware and whiteboard layouts. Buyers who need widescreen native resolution or higher pixel density for detailed spreadsheets should look elsewhere.

1024 x 768 native resolution

This XGA grid determines the sharpest text and graphics the projector can show without scaling. If your content is authored at 1024 x 768, the image maps pixel-for-pixel; any wider or denser source will be compressed or cropped.

Questions about this item

How much space does the 12.6 x 4.1 x 9.3 inch projector need on a shelf or mount?

Allow at least 12.6 inches wide, 9.3 inches deep and 4.1 inches high plus clearance for cables and ventilation around the 7.3 lb unit.

Which cable do I connect first when setting up the XD280U and what is the common mistake?

Connect the supplied VGA cable to the computer before powering on; the frequent error is turning the projector on first and then plugging in the video source.

When should I replace the 330-watt lamp and how do the two modes affect its life?

Replace the lamp after roughly 3,000 hours in normal mode or 6,000 hours in eco mode; the projector will dim noticeably as the lamp ages.
