Replacement Lamp for Mitsubishi XD8700U Projectors

The Mitsubishi XD8700U BL is a new 350W projector lamp module that ships as a complete bulb-and-housing assembly. It is intended for owners of compatible Mitsubishi projectors who need a direct replacement without separate component fitting.

Verify Projector Model and Lamp Code Before Purchase

Confirm that your projector accepts the VLT-XD8600LP lamp code and that the existing module matches the 350W specification. The unit is not suited for projectors requiring a different wattage, connector layout or ignition voltage, and it will not fit models outside the designated Mitsubishi series.

Rated Output and Lamp Life in Normal

The 350W UHP bulb delivers its rated brightness for approximately 2000 hours in normal mode or up to 4000 hours in economy mode. Running in economy reduces power draw and heat output, which also lowers fan noise during typical presentations.

Questions about this item

Does the Mitsubishi XD8700U BL lamp arrive as a complete housing or do I need to buy a separate cage?

The module ships as a fully assembled 350W Philips UHP bulb inside its housing, so no extra cage or bare bulb is required.

How do the OEM and compatible versions differ for this 350W replacement?

Three OEM variants come from Philips, Osram, Ushio, Phoenix, Iwasaki or Matsushita; the compatible version uses genuine OEM parts from a leading third-party maker. All meet ISO9001 quality checks.

What runtime can I expect from the 350W lamp in normal versus economy mode?

Rated life is 2000 hours in normal mode and 4000 hours in economy mode, depending on projector settings and usage patterns.
