Genuine 270W replacement lamp module

The Mitsubishi XL5900LU lamp assembly fits projectors using the VLT-XL5950LP module and ships as a complete bulb-and-housing unit ready for immediate installation. It replaces the original light source without requiring separate component handling. Buyers needing a different wattage or a bare bulb without housing will not find that configuration here.

Rated output at 270 watts

The lamp delivers 270W of power and is rated for 1000 hours in normal mode or 2000 hours in economy mode, giving a clear view of sustained brightness over the full service interval rather than a short-term peak. Economy mode extends the operating window by reducing output, while normal mode provides the standard intensity for the rated period.

ISO 9001 manufacturing baseline

Each unit is produced under ISO 9001 quality controls covering beam performance, ignition voltage, connections and run-time, so the lamp meets the baseline consistency required for projector integration. The standard does not guarantee a specific lumen count or colour fidelity beyond those checks.

Questions about this item

How much heat and power does the 270 W lamp add when the projector runs all day?

The lamp draws 270 watts; in normal mode it lasts 1000 hours and in economy mode 2000 hours, so heat output scales with the chosen brightness setting.

Does the VLT-XL5950LP module arrive fully assembled or do I need a separate housing?

It ships as a complete unit with the new SHP bulb already mounted in its housing, ready for direct installation.

Will this lamp work in my older Mitsubishi XL5900LU projector without any firmware update?

Yes, the VLT-XL5950LP is the designated replacement for the XL5900LU model and fits without additional software steps.
