What the dock does

The MOKIN 15-cs1014-ng is a 14 in 1 USB-C docking station that adds two HDMI ports, one VGA port, Gigabit Ethernet, five USB-A ports, two USB-C ports, an SD/TF card reader and a 3.5 mm audio jack to a single USB-C or Thunderbolt 3 laptop. It is aimed at office workers and mobile professionals who need to connect three external displays, wired networking and multiple peripherals without installing drivers. Buyers who need more than three video outputs or a built-in power supply will not be served by this unit.

Thermals noise and power

The aluminium enclosure dissipates heat passively during normal desk use so the dock runs silently. A 100 W Power Delivery port accepts up to 87 W of safe charging for the host laptop while the remaining ports are active. The Gigabit Ethernet link operates at 1000 Mbs and the USB 3.0 ports transfer data at 5 Gbps without raising the chassis temperature noticeably. No fan or active cooling is present.

Behaviour under sustained load

When all three video outputs run at 1920x1080 60 Hz or dual HDMI at 4K 30 Hz the dock maintains a stable signal for extended sessions. The SD and TF card slots read both cards simultaneously at up to 104 Mbps while USB 2.0 ports handle keyboard and mouse traffic at 480 Mbps. Continuous Ethernet throughput and multi-port data transfers do not cause disconnections or thermal throttling.

Questions about this item

How do I set up the MOKIN 15-cs1014-ng docking station, and what step do people often miss?

Connect the USB-C cable to a Thunderbolt 3 port on your laptop; the step users miss is verifying the port supports video output and 100W Power Delivery, otherwise displays and charging will not work.

What maintenance or replacement will the MOKIN 15-cs1014-ng need over time?

No scheduled maintenance is required; if the USB-C host cable frays or the 3.5 mm audio jack wears out, replace the cable or use a USB audio adapter instead.

What limit appears first when the MOKIN 15-cs1014-ng runs under sustained load?

The 100W Power Delivery port caps at 87W safety rating, so prolonged heavy charging plus multiple 5 Gbps USB 3.0 transfers will hit that thermal ceiling first.
