USB-C hub for dual 4K monitors

This USB-C hub adds two 4K@60 Hz video outputs, two 10 Gbps data ports and a 100 W pass-through charging port from a single Thunderbolt 4 or USB 4 connection. It is built for Windows laptops that support DisplayPort Alt Mode and MST, enabling an extended dual-monitor workstation. macOS users are limited to mirrored output on both screens. The aluminium-bodied adapter weighs 0.091 kg and measures 14.33in W x 12.83in H x 9.06in D.

Thermals and power in daily use

The hub delivers up to 87 W of pass-through power to the host laptop while simultaneously driving two 4K displays and transferring data at 10 Gbps. No fan is present; heat is dissipated through the aluminium casing during sustained workloads. A separate 100 W charger and cable are required to reach the maximum charging rate.

What the bundled features change

The two 10 Gbps USB-C data ports let you attach fast storage or peripherals without sacrificing video bandwidth. The 100 W PD port keeps the laptop charged during long sessions, removing the need for the original power brick. Dual-monitor MST support is exclusive to Windows on Thunderbolt 4 or USB 4 hosts; macOS and non-Thunderbolt USB-C devices cannot extend across both screens.

Questions about this item

How do I install the MOKiN UC6101B hub and what step is often missed?

Connect the hub to a Thunderbolt 4 or USB 4 port that supports DP Alt Mode 1.4, then attach each monitor via USB-C cables; the step often missed is verifying the host port actually carries DP Alt Mode video, because a plain USB-C data port will not drive the displays.

What maintenance or replacement will the UC6101B need over time?

No scheduled maintenance is required; keep the aluminum housing vents clear of dust, use quality USB-C cables rated for 10 Gbps and 100 W PD, and replace any cable that shows connector wear or intermittent video to maintain 4K 60 Hz dual-monitor operation.

What limit appears first during sustained heavy use of the UC6101B?

The 87 W pass-through charging ceiling is reached before the 10 Gbps data ports saturate, so a laptop drawing full power while driving dual 4K 60 Hz monitors may throttle charge speed if the supplied adapter cannot sustain 100 W input.
