Disposable foam earplugs

Moldex 6970 Meteors are single-use foam earplugs rated at 33 dB NRR. Each pair is corded to reduce loss and the bright green colour makes compliance checks simple. The PVC-free foam expands slowly to fit a range of ear canals. A bulk box contains 100 pairs for high-volume workplaces.

Suited for noisy industrial shifts

Workers who need consistent attenuation for full shifts and prefer a cord that keeps plugs together will find these practical. Buyers who require reusable or metal-detectable plugs should look at other ranges. The roll-down insertion method demands clean hands, so environments without washing facilities may be less suitable.

Noise Reduction Rating 33 dB

The NRR of 33 dB is the key figure for selecting hearing protection against measured workplace noise. It is tested to the ANSI S3.19-1974 standard cited in the specifications. Match this rating to your noise assessment to confirm the product meets the required protection level.

Questions about this item

What comes inside the 100-pair bulk box and do I need to buy a dispenser separately?

The box contains 100 pairs of green PVC-free foam earplugs with green plastic cords, unwrapped in a plastic bag. No dispenser is included and none is required for use.

This model only appears in a 100-pair bulk box — is that the only version available?

The Moldex 6970 Meteors are supplied as a single 100-pair bulk package of corded, disposable earplugs.

How does the NRR 33 dB rating translate to real-world noise reduction when the plugs are worn correctly?

The ANSI S3.19-1974 tested rating of 33 dB indicates the laboratory attenuation; actual reduction depends on proper roll-down insertion and fit in each ear.
