Solid Diatomaceous Earth Bath Mat

The Drytomita mat from Momo Lifestyle is a solid stone bath mat made from diatomaceous earth, wood and vegetable fibres, and hydrated lime. It measures 23.6 by 15.4 by 0.4 inches and comes in a linen grey finish. The mat is designed to absorb water rapidly and dry in about one minute, keeping bathroom floors dry and fresh.

Buyers wanting fast-drying, low-maintenance safety

This mat suits households that want a naturally non-slip surface without fabric pile that stays damp. The porous stone gives firm grip even when wet and the material is softer than ceramic tile so it will not scratch floors. It is not for shoppers who prefer a soft, cushioned textile mat or who need a machine-washable option.

Rapid absorption and simple upkeep

The stone handles heavy daily shower traffic comfortably, drying quickly between uses to prevent damp odours. Capacity runs out if standing water pools beyond what the porous surface can wick in a minute; the mat is not designed to soak up large spills or flooding. Cleaning requires only a wipe with a damp cloth and occasional light sanding with the included sheet.

Questions about this item

What floor surface do I need for the 23.6 x 15.4 inch mat to grip properly?

The diatomaceous earth stone grips naturally on any hard bathroom floor, including tile, stone or vinyl, without adhesives.

Will the 0.4 inch thickness clear my existing bath rug or heated floor?

At 0.4 inch high the mat sits low enough to avoid tripping and works over most heated floors without blocking heat.

How do I know the rapid absorption is still active after a few weeks?

Water should disappear from the surface within about one minute; if it lingers, lightly sand with the included sheet to reopen the pores.
