HDMI to M1 Projector Adapter

The Monoprice 102689 adapter bridges an HDMI source to the M1 digital input found on InFocus projectors. It accepts a standard HDMI male cable on one end and plugs directly into the projector's M1 port on the other. This makes it suitable for classrooms, meeting rooms or home cinema setups that rely on legacy InFocus hardware. The gold-plated connectors resist corrosion for a stable signal path.

Simple Plug-in Installation

Installation requires no drivers or external power; simply insert the M1 male end into the projector and connect your HDMI cable to the female port. The only common issue is a loose fit if the projector's M1 port is worn, which can interrupt the signal until the adapter is reseated. Ensure the HDMI cable is fully inserted to avoid handshake failures. The compact body leaves adjacent ports accessible.

Stable Signal Under Continuous Use

The passive design maintains a consistent digital link during long presentations or movie sessions without signal degradation. Because it draws no power, there is no heat buildup that could affect reliability over extended periods. The gold plating preserves contact integrity through repeated connect and disconnect cycles. It supports the resolution and refresh rate negotiated between the source and the projector.

Questions about this item

How do I verify the Monoprice 102689 adapter is passing a clean digital signal to my InFocus projector after connecting it?

Power on the projector, select the M1 digital input, and confirm the source image appears at the expected resolution without sparkles, drop-outs or colour shifts — a stable picture means the gold-plated contacts are seated correctly.

What comes in the box with the Monoprice 102689, and do I need to purchase an HDMI cable separately?

The package contains only the M1 male to HDMI female adapter; you must supply a standard HDMI male-to-male cable to complete the link between your source device and the projector.

The listing shows model 102689 — are there other versions or capacities of this M1-to-HDMI adapter I should consider?

No, 102689 is the sole model offered; it is a single passive adapter with gold-plated connectors and no alternative lengths, bandwidth tiers or feature sets exist in this range.
