Single Monitor Gas Spring Mount

This Monoprice 124587 gas spring arm mounts one monitor up to 27 inches and 14.3 lbs. It suits home offices and compact workstations that need flexible screen positioning. The counterbalanced mechanism allows smooth height, depth and angle changes without tools after installation.

Clamp or Grommet Desk Attachment

Setup uses the supplied edge clamp or grommet base, both included in the package. The most common issue is insufficient desk thickness or a grommet hole that is too small for the supplied hardware. Verify your surface dimensions before starting assembly.

Weight Capacity and Screen Size Limit

The arm comfortably handles displays up to 14.3 lbs and 27 inches, covering most standard productivity panels. Heavier ultrawide models or screens larger than 27 inches exceed the rated capacity and will not stay in position. Buyers needing dual-monitor support or higher weight limits should choose a different mount.

Questions about this item

How do I confirm the gas-spring arm is balanced correctly for my 27 inch monitor after installation?

Mount the display, then release the arm gently; it should hold position at any height without drifting up or down, confirming the spring is counterbalancing the 14.3 lbs load properly.

Which mounting hardware is included and what must I supply myself for the 124587 model?

The box contains both an edge clamp and a grommet mount for desk attachment plus VESA screws for the monitor; you only need a suitable desk surface and basic hand tools.

Should I choose this 124587 mount or a larger-capacity model for a 27 inch screen weighing 14.3 lbs?

This 124587 mount is rated for screens up to 27 inches and 14.3 lbs, so it matches your monitor exactly; select a higher-capacity model only if your display exceeds those limits.
