Premium Braided Speaker Wire

Monoprice 134310 is a 15ft speaker cable using 14AWG oxygen-free copper conductors. The wire features a soft-touch braided fabric jacket designed to protect speaker finishes while maintaining flexibility. Gold-plated banana plugs are pre-terminated at both ends for immediate connection. It suits home audio enthusiasts setting up stereo or surround systems.

Ideal for permanent installs needing polarity

Colour-coded aluminium connectors simplify matching positive and negative terminals during installation. The braided jacket resists abrasion better than bare PVC, making it suitable for runs behind furniture or along baseboards. Buyers who need in-wall rated CL2 or CL3 cable should look elsewhere, as this wire lacks those fire-safety ratings. Anyone requiring longer continuous runs beyond the supplied length will need additional cables.

Pre-terminated plugs and lifetime warranty change

Factory-fitted banana plugs eliminate the need for stripping wire or buying separate connectors, saving setup time. Gold plating on the plugs resists oxidation for consistent conductivity over years. Monoprice backs the cable with a lifetime replacement warranty, so a faulty termination can be exchanged without extra cost. The package includes only the single speaker wire pair with no additional adapters or tools.

Questions about this item

What amplifier terminals do I need for the gold-plated banana plugs on this 14AWG wire?

The banana plugs are male and fit standard five-way binding posts or banana jacks on your amplifier or receiver.

Can I use this 15ft braided speaker wire with older speakers that only have spring-clip terminals?

The pre-installed banana plugs will not fit spring clips; you would need to remove the plugs and use the bare tinned copper conductors instead.

How can I confirm the polarity is correct after connecting the color-coded connectors?

Match the coloured connector on each end to the same polarity terminal — typically red for positive and black for negative — on both the amplifier and speaker.
