Mobile Storage with Guest Seating

This Monoprice 137882 cabinet delivers two upper drawers plus a file-height lower drawer on casters. A padded cushion on the top panel turns the unit into an occasional seat for visitors. Powder-coated steel construction and rounded corners provide durability in open-plan or home offices. The lock secures all three drawers simultaneously.

Flexible Offices, Not Heavy Archives

The casters and compact 19.50 inch width suit teams that rearrange layouts frequently or need storage beside sit-stand desks. Smooth glides keep daily supplies accessible. Buyers who need fire-rated protection, high-capacity lateral filing, or a fixed pedestal without wheels should consider other formats.

55.00 lb Weight Dictates Floor Choice

At 55.00 lbs the cabinet is light enough to roll on hard floors or low-pile carpet, yet heavy enough to stay put when the brake is engaged. Verify that your floor covering tolerates dual-wheel casters under this load before ordering.

Questions about this item

Does the 19.50-inch width fit under my existing desk overhang?

The cabinet is 19.50 inches wide, so measure your desk clearance to confirm it will slide underneath.

Will the casters roll smoothly on the same carpet where my older filing cabinet sits?

Dual-wheel casters are designed to move the 55.00 lb unit easily, even on carpet, so it should handle the same floor as your current cabinet.

How can I verify the lock on model 137882 engages properly after assembly?

Turn the key; the drawer bolts should throw fully and the drawer will not pull open when locked.
