Monoprice 138578 USB 3.1 Type-C Video Cable 30 ft

This active optical cable connects a USB Type-C computer to a USB Type-C display for video transmission. It spans 29.99 feet without requiring external power or signal extenders. The cable carries video signals only and does not support data transfer or power delivery functions.

Ideal for long-distance 4K display links

Suited for installations routing a 4K@60Hz HDR signal up to 100 feet between compatible USB-C devices. The fibre construction maintains signal quality over distance with a slim, flexible profile. Not suited for buyers who need USB data transfer or charging capability over the same cable, because this product transmits video signals only.

Carries 4K@60Hz HDR video up to 100 feet

Supports a maximum 3840x2160p resolution at 60 Hz with more than one billion colours. Gold-plated connectors with 50 micron thickness resist corrosion for reliable contact. The optical fibre medium replaces copper to achieve the extended reach without active external hardware.

Questions about this item

Does this cable carry USB data or power in addition to video?

No, the cable only carries video signals between a USB Type-C source and a USB Type-C display.

Will the 30 ft length work with my existing 4K 60 Hz monitor that uses a standard copper USB-C cable?

Yes, the active optical design transmits 3840x2160 at 60 Hz up to 100 ft, so the 30 ft run is well within range.

How can I confirm the link is running at full 4K 60 Hz after I connect it?

Check the display settings on your computer and verify the resolution reads 3840x2160 with a 60 Hz refresh rate.
