  • Authentic Aruba cable tested on all Instant On switches
  • 10 Gigabit speeds over 3 metres for small-business networks
  • Compatible with every Aruba Instant On switch model
  • Also works with HPE OfficeConnect 1950 switches
  • Three-year warranty backs reliable SFP+ direct-attach connections

Purpose-built 10G DAC for small-business switches

This three-metre direct-attach cable is built for Aruba Instant On switches and HPE OfficeConnect 1950 switches that have SFP+ transceiver slots. It provides a 10 Gbps link up to the full three-metre reach without separate transceivers. The cable is not supported on Aruba enterprise or data-centre switches.

Sustained-link reliability

Fully tested on every supported Instant On model, the cable maintains a stable 10 Gbps connection over its rated length during continuous operation. No performance degradation is reported for the specified three-metre distance. Buyers needing longer runs or compatibility with enterprise-grade Aruba hardware cannot use this cable.

Plug-and-play SFP+ installation

The SFP+ form factor inserts directly into compatible switch ports, requiring no drivers or configuration. Common issues arise only when the cable is used in unsupported enterprise switches or when a longer reach is required beyond the three-metre limit.

Questions about this item

Does the 10 Gbps Aruba Instant On DAC cable generate noticeable heat or draw extra power when running continuously?

The 3 m direct-attach cable is a passive copper assembly, so it adds no active components that produce heat or increase power draw beyond the switch ports themselves.

Which switch models must I already own for this SFP+ DAC to function?

It is validated on every Aruba Instant On switch with SFP+ transceiver slots and on HPE OfficeConnect 1950 switches; it will not operate in Aruba enterprise or data-centre switches.

Can I keep my older HPE OfficeConnect 1950 switches and still use this 10 Gbps DAC?

Yes, the cable is explicitly supported on HPE OfficeConnect 1950 switches, so existing 1950 units can be interconnected at 10 Gbps over the 3 m reach.
