EasyPlug DisplayPort 1.4 Cable

This six-foot cable connects a DisplayPort 1.4 source to a compatible monitor or display. The EasyPlug connectors hold securely without the traditional locking mechanism, making insertion and removal straightforward. A nylon braided jacket resists tangling and protects the conductors from nicks and cuts. The cable is new and ready for immediate use.

Replacing Locking DisplayPort Cables

The non-locking EasyPlug design removes the frustration of fiddly release buttons on crowded ports or wall-mounted displays. Upgrading from an older DisplayPort 1.2 cable is worthwhile when the host and display support 8K at 60 Hz or 4K at 120 Hz with HDR. The 32.4 Gbps bandwidth and DSC 1.2 compliance enable those higher resolutions and refresh rates.

Suits 8K and High-Refresh 4K Setups

Builders running 8K at 60 Hz or 4K at 120 Hz with HDR will benefit from the full HBR3 bandwidth. Users who prefer a locking connector for vibration-prone environments should look at a different cable. Installations requiring lengths beyond twelve feet are not covered by this product range.

Questions about this item

Does the 1.8288 metre length reach from a desk-mounted PC to a monitor on the same surface?

At 6.00 ft the cable spans a typical desk-to-monitor distance with slack for routing behind stands or through grommets.

How do the EasyPlug connectors seat without the traditional DisplayPort locking tabs?

Push each connector straight in until it clicks; the internal friction latch holds it firmly without a release button.

Will the nylon braided jacket degrade if the cable is bent sharply behind a monitor arm?

The braided sleeve resists nicks and cuts, but repeated tight bends at the connector strain relief can fatigue the internal wires over time.
